Jim's Mary Martin Page

In 1982 I was honored to win a scholarship to a Musical Theatre
Workshop at the Northwood Institute in Dallas, TX. The auditions for
Southern, CA were held at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA,
where I attended school. The California scholarship was named after
Mary Martin and she personally attended the audition as one of the
judges. What an honor to be chosen as one of the scholarship
winners by a Broadway, living legend.

Mary Martin was a resident of Rancho Mirage, CA where she passed
away in 1990 of cancer. These pictures were publicity shots of myself
and two other scholarship winners (
Michelle Prowse & Brad Little)
at Mary Martin's Rancho Mirage residence.

A while back, I Googled my old friend Brad Little and found that he has been a professional actor for
many years. He has played the role of
the Phantom over 2000 times in theaters across America, on
Broadway, and in Asia since 1997. Brad is a native Californian raised in Redlands. His other Broadway
and National tour credits include:
Cyrano, the Musical, playing the role of Captain De Castel Jaloux;
Fiddler on the Roof, with Topol; the Lincoln Center production of Anything Goes directed by Jerry
Zaks
, in which he understudied and played the role of Billy Crocker opposite
Leslie Uggams. If you would like more information about Brad Little, (reviews, comments from
the public...) you can log on to his web site
